Managing Director Josh King has been invited to deliver a presentation and join a panel discussion on, Solar: Markets and Grid, at the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference in Glasgow.
Grid, a particularly hot topic right now with the barriers to solar deployment a constrained grid is having, will be discussed by the panel of experts. Josh’s work in industry and as vice chair of Solar Energy Scotland continually pushes for solar to be considered in DNO’s strategies for a future power system that is made up of diverse renewable energy sources.
Solar is often overlooked by DNO’s when planning a grid that maximise utilisation of all renewable sources, resulting in higher costs on solar developers to fund grid infrastructure upgrades compared with other renewable technologies. Solar power has a vital role to play in Scotland’s future energy mix, alongside other renewables and storage technologies. It can be installed at all scales from large grid scale solar farms to individual domestic solar and battery systems.
