Josh King
(Director & Co-founder)

Pioneering Renewable Energy Solutions

Starting his career in the heart of one of China’s manufacturing cities, Josh King’s early exposure to environmental challenges fuelled his commitment to renewables. Witnessing the impact of traditional energy generation and inspired by Scotland’s renewable growth, Josh embarked on a mission to drive positive change in the energy landscape.

With a rich history in the renewable energy sector, Josh’s influence extends across technical, commercial and policy domains. Holding key positions such as Chair of Solar Energy Scotland and is a Board Member of Solar Energy UK, Josh actively shapes industry standards through participation in MCS technical working groups. His portfolio includes the successful delivery of multiple megawatts of renewable generation projects.

Robert Wilson
(Director & Co-founder)

Building a Practical Foundation for Sustainable Solutions

Our co-founder and Commercial Director, Robert Wilson, commenced his journey with hands-on installations during university. Evolving into roles encompassing commercial sales, technical design and project management, Robert’s impact extends to iconic assignments across historic buildings with multiple megawatts of solar projects across Scottish businesses. His active participation in industry groups, including Solar Energy UK’s grid steering group, reflects his commitment to driving positive change.

Driven by a dual commitment to environmental and economic sustainability, Robert finds purpose in supporting businesses on their journey toward sustainability. His love for outdoor activities also reflects a deep connection to nature, motivating him to contribute to its preservation.

David Gardner
Non-executive Director

Leading Strategic Growth and Engineering Excellence in Renewable Energy

With nearly 40 years of experience in the energy sector, Dave has built a distinguished career at the forefront of electrical engineering and infrastructure development. As a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, his expertise is grounded in both technical excellence and a long-standing commitment to advancing the energy industry.

Throughout his career, Dave has held a range of senior leadership roles within the SSE Group, where he played a key role in shaping and delivering large-scale energy projects. His experience spans engineering, operations and organisational leadership, enabling him to guide complex initiatives with confidence and clarity. More recently, Dave contributed to the rapid growth of Windward Energy (formerly Bute Energy), supporting its expansion from a small team of seven to over 140 employees, alongside securing a £600m investment from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. His track record reflects a strong ability to scale businesses, develop high-performing teams and deliver impactful energy solutions at pace.

Beginning his career with a strong foundation in engineering and project delivery, Gregor Thake developed a passion for building robust, scalable energy solutions that support the transition to a low-carbon future. With early experience rooted in technical problem-solving and system optimisation, Gregor has consistently focused on delivering high-quality infrastructure that meets both client and environmental needs.

With extensive experience across the renewable energy sector, Gregor brings a deep understanding of technical delivery, project management and operational performance. As Technical Delivery Director, he leads the successful execution of complex renewable energy projects, ensuring precision from design through to deployment. Gregor’s expertise lies in translating innovative concepts into reliable, real-world solutions, contributing to the delivery of significant renewable capacity and supporting the continued growth of sustainable energy systems.
